Interior lights list

Location of the interior lights

1. Outer mirror logo lamp (if equipped)

Operating the interior lights

■ Front interior lights

Turns the door position on/off When a door is opened while the door position is on, the lights turn on.

■ Rear interior lights

1. Turns the light on
2. Turns the door-linked function on (door position)

The lights turn on/off according to the opening/closing of the doors.

The rear interior light turn on/off together the front interior light.

Operating the personal lights

Turns the lights on/off

Changing the illumination color (if equipped) or brightness

Using the multimedia display, the color and brightness of the interior lights in the vehicle can be changed.

1. Select .

2. Select "Vehicle customise".

3. Select "Illumination".

4. Select the desired color or desired brightness.

■Illuminated entry system

The lights automatically turn on/off according to the power switch mode, the presence of the electronic key (vehicles with entry function), whether the doors are locked/unlocked, and whether the doors are opened/closed.

■When the interior lights color is changed (vehicles with ambient lights)

The ambient lights* changes color in accordance to the drive mode selected.

*: Setting can be customized.

■To prevent the 12-volt battery from being discharged

If the interior lights remain on when the power switch is turned off, the lights will go off automatically after 20 minutes.

■The interior lights may turn on automatically when

If any of the SRS airbags deploy (inflate) or in the event of a strong rear impact, the interior lights will turn on automatically.

The interior lights will turn off automatically after approximately 20 minutes.

The interior lights can be turned off manually.

However, in order to help prevent further collisions, it is recommended that they be left on until safety can be ensured.

(The interior lights may not turn on automatically depending on the force of the impact and conditions of the collision.)

■Using the voice control system

The following operations can be performed using the voice control system.

• Turning interior light on/off
• Changing color of each lights

■Customization

Some functions can be customized.

NOTICE

■To prevent 12-volt battery discharge

Do not leave the lights on longer than necessary when the hybrid system is off.

Illumination notification (if equipped)

The ambient light under the multimedia system flashes twice, in the following situations:

■ Preceding vehicle start notification

Notifies when the preceding vehicle starts off or accelerates while stopped behind the preceding vehicle.

This function may also operate while driving at extremely slow speeds immediately before stopping the vehicle.

■ PDA (Proactive Driving Assist) linked notifications (if equipped)

Notifies when PDA (Proactive Driving Assist) has detected an operation target.

■Operation description of illumination notification

• Vehicles with PDA (Proactive Driving Assist): PDA (Proactive Driving Assist) linked notifications do not operate when PDA (Proactive Driving Assist) is disabled through a customize setting.
• When the preceding vehicle is close in distance from the vehicle while stopped, the timing for notifying that the preceding vehicle has started off may be delayed.
• This function does not operate when the front camera or front radar sensor does not operate properly such as during bad weather.
• When the proceeding vehicle starts off within approximately 3 seconds after the vehicle is stopped, the illumination notification does not operate.

  However, the illumination notification operates and follow-up cruising resumes if dynamic radar cruise control is in use.

■Customization

Settings can be changed to enabled and disabled illumination notifications.
